The weather guessers were wrong. The forecast for Saturday, May 23, 2026 called for rain until 2:00 PM. It stopped raining at about 8:30 AM. The day remained overcast with gentle winds for the entire match.
Twenty (20) competitors came out brave the weather that wasn’t and enjoyed the day. We had eight (8) F-Open shooters, eight (8) F-TR competitors, and four (4) others in four different categories.
In F-Open it was a race between Pete Stumpo 599-43X, Cruz Stoneburner 599-35X, and Seth Stoneburner 599-34X. Pete emerged the Michigan F-Open Mid-Range Champion.
In F-TR Brad Sauve took the lead from the start and finished with a 597-36X. He was followed by Robin Retzlof with a 593-31X and Larry Remsnyder with a 592-25X.
Other scores of note were Ray Gross with a 599-39X with a Palma Rifle, and Lance Espinosa with a 593-29 with an AR-Tactical Rifle.
