On a beautiful August day the Michigan Mid-Range Prone Championship was held at the Midland County Sportsman’s Club. With a record thirty-three (33) competitors the match was a success.
We had sixteen (16) F-Open competitors. Of that number Seth Stoneburner won the F-Open Championship with a 597-36X. He was trailed closely by Mike Facchini with a 596-37X, and Nick Nadenoff with a 596-35X. An individual score of note was Mike Facchini’s 200-18X.
F-TR had eight (8) competitors. Steve Beebe was the winner with a 594-36X. He was chased by Jim Grissom with a 589-23X, and Mike Boughner with a 588-22X.
In the sling arena we had a combination of eight (8) competitors made up of Service Rifle, Palma Rifle and Any Rifle. Jamie Root using a Palma Rifle was winner with a 593-29X, followed by Hanne Brantner with a 591-21X. Third was Gary Duda with an Any Rifle with a 587-19X.
Lastly we had one (1) lonely AR-Tactical shooter, Lance Espinosa who posted a 591-25X.
