2025 Halloween BSA Charity Match Final Results

On Saturday, October 25, 2025 the Midland County Sportsman’s Club conducted their Annual Halloween BSA Charity Match. On a cool fall day, we had eighteen (18) competitors.

The match was able to raise $960 for Venture Crew 7772 of Midland. Bret Solomon, of Solomon Diving is shown presenting his check and checks from Pierce Engineering and Charles Hayes, as well as $160 in cash from the competitors.

In F-Open one point and a few “X”s separated the top six (6) competitors. Winning the category was Seth Stoneburner with a 600-39X. He was chased by Cruz Stoneburner 599-43X, Bret Solomon 599-43X, Scott Rehkopf 599-39X, Don Hicks 599-39X, and Marcel Bollinger 599-38X.  Quite a day for F-Open.  It’s a hell of a note to drop a single point and end up sixth…

In F-TR Steve Beebe lead the field with a 599-27X, followed by Richard Dixon with a 598-38X, and Mike Boughner with a 596-25X.

Due a singular lack of sling (Any Rifle) shooters, we combined AR-Tactical and Any Rifle. Lance Espinosa won the top spot with a 594-26X followed by Mike Quillinan (our sole sling Any Rifle Shooter) with a 594-26X and Aaron Schultz with a 589-24X.

Winners (r to l): Cruz Stonerburner, Bret Solomon, Richard Dixon, Mike Boughner, Steve Beebe, Seth Stoneburner, Lance Espinosa, Aaron Schultz

For F-Open we had seven (7) competitors. Seth Stoneburner started out with a 200-20X clean on the F-Class target. I’m not completely sure, but that may have been the first perfect score fired at MCSC. Seth continued all the way clean posting a 600-43X. He was chased by Bret Solomon with a 599-45X, and Cruz Stoneburner with a 598-39X.

In F-TR Brad Sauve led the way with a 598-44X, followed by Leo Cebula with a 596-28X.

We had three (3) AR-Tactical shooters, Dave Cloft fired a 593-31X for the win.
