First we tried on December 31, 2005, and got 5 inches of snow. Then we tried on January 14, 2006, and got an ice storm. So we moved the New Year's Eve Match to July 1, 2006, and no one could help run it. So we moved it to July 2, 2006 and had the best turn-out for a non-Charity match venue in our history. Seventeen shooters braved party cloudy skies, and hot (mid-80s) temperatures to complete the New Year's Eve Match, at last. Bret Solomon shooting F-Class set the pace with a 600-54. Ray Gross was match winner shooting a Palma rifle with a 597-35, followed closely by Peter Church with a 596-42 for first High Master. Bob Elka finished with a 594-20 for first eveything else, followed by Bob Lorenz with a 569-13 for second everything else. Ken Orris finished with a 561-11 for high Service Rifle. Hope to see you at them both!
