2018 Suburban Mid-Range Prone Match 5 Results

I believe we figured out that fall had begun this morning.  When I filled my gas tank at Meijer’s I realized that I didn’t bring a coat.  Moreover, I figured that I needed a coat.  On checking the temperature at about 8:30 AM I noted that it was a balmy 41 degrees F.  A coat would have been nice….

At any rate, we had ten (10) shooters.  Five (5) F-Open, three (3) F-TR, and two sling shooters, who were actually glad to be wearing their sweatshirts and shooting jackets.

The high F-Open competitor was Tony Dekelaita with a 593-26X.  High F-TR was Charles Hayes with a 589-24X.  Lastly, high sling shooter was Leo Cebula with a 594-25X.  Leo had the only “clean” of the day in the last stage with a 200-11X.

2018 Michigan Mid-Range Prone Championship Results

It was the best of times, it was the worse of times….

Saturday, September 1, 2018 started out as a good, if a little humid day.  More importantly all the targets were operational (all eight), and we had twenty-five (25) competitors.  Towards the end, however, things got nasty.

The photos are of my home office with the score sheets arrayed to dry.  It got wet.

However, some very good performances were recorded:

Any Rifle Champion:  Chris Whitney  597-37

F-Open Champion:  Marcel Bollinger  600-37  (I believe this to be the first 600 clean shot at Midland on a 300-500-600 course of fire – Outstanding performance)

F-TR Champion:  Josh Moore:  599-41

Junior Champion:  Sydnie Lipski  598-39
