Saturday, July 14, 2018 was supposed to be dry all day. Unfortunately, the Rain God decided that we should have some weather to start the day. After about an hour and a half delay and covering the new firing line we finally got under way.
More than a couple of comments were made regarding the new, level 600 yard firing line. I, personally, found it very pleasant to fire off of. It will really be nice after the line receives its sodding at the end of September.
The delay didn’t affect Ray Gross, whose 600-40X topped the sling shooters. This was the second 600 Ray has capped this year. A really impressive performance with an iron sighted Palma Rifle. John Roethlisberger was the high F-TR shooter with a 598-29X, and Ed Gostomski was the high F-Open shooter with a 597-28X. All and all a good day for a match.
Our next league match is: August 11, 2018. Program is: 2018 Suburban Mid-Range Prone League.
