The first ever Michigan Mid-Range Prone Championship was sponsored on September 8, 2007 by the Midland County Sportsman's Club (MCSC). The competition drew fourteen (14) shooters from Michigan, and Indiana, and was held on a beautiful fall day with gentle winds, but lots of mirage. Five (5) shooters clustered at the top of the results, with Leo Cebula, of Northville winning the Championship with a 649-37X out of a possible 650-65X. He was closely followed by Jerry Engelman of Plymouth with a 649-27X, Ray Gross of Midland with a 648-36X, Pete Church of Dearborn with a 646-35X, and Brad Sauve of Midland with a 645-37X. The results of the match were in doubt until the last shot was fired.
